Street-Legal now has the rare distinction (shared only with Yes's Tormato!) of having been bought by me in cassette, LP and CD formats.
This is another very recent purchase. At the end of May when everyone was celebrating Bob's 70th, I was browsing this discussion of hearing His Bobness for the first time. I was struck particularly by those few posts from people who heard him first, as I did, in 1978. In this thread a couple of people refer to how poorly produced the original album was, but how it was enhanced by remastering. As the remastered CD version was, again, very cheap on Amazon, I'd clicked "add to basket" before I drew breath.
Well, I see I went on at considerable length last time. Just to add that, as I clicked that button, I also had in mind the symmetry that Street-Legal, one of the first ten albums I ever bought might also be among the last in my collection to close out Music Arcades. If I had to choose one album to stand for the romance and mystery of having a record collection, I can't think of a better one than this, my Rosebud.

This and Nashville Skyline are the 2 most played Dylans over the years in the Archer household.
