I've got one category on this site for bought direct online and another for bought direct at a gig. Numbers actually qualifies for both. I paid for it online some weeks before the CDs had been manufactured. As reward for this, I got a download version of the full album plus, as exclusive bonus tracks, the rough edits of the tracks. Then I went along to the album launch (one of my first gigs after the Boy was born) and picked up my CD.
Good old Steve! My friend Steve Lawson, that is, frequently mentioned in these pages, and as well known (better in some circles) for his sharp use of social media as for his virtuosity on bass guitar and associated electronics. This is my favourite of Steve's albums — solo and collaborations — of the ones I've heard so far. Just something about the mix of textures that I really like. But this will not be the last mention of Steve's music.
