A themed career retrospective for yet-to-be Liberal Democrat peer, Lord Eno. The second CD brings together tracks from his collaborations with the likes of Bowie, Hassell, Cluster, Budd, Lanois & Eno-frère, and Fripp. The third comprises mainly excerpts from his longer-form pieces like Discreet Music, Thursday Afternoon and Neroli.

It's the first disc, made up of 31 shorter ambient pieces mainly from the Music for Films series that I enjoy most. Slow Water is a particular favourite. It's used to advantage in my favourite Todd Haynes film, Safe, but that's not available on YouTube, so this will have to do:
Kudos to Declan Colgan, then of Virgin and now running his own distribution company for clients like DGM (the home of King Crimson etc), for an excellent compilation job. There was also an Eno Box II - Vocal, which I couldn't afford at the time, and subsequently lusted after briefly, when it was no longer available. But I got over that.
