The number of albums I've bought with some connection, however tendentious, to Alasdair Roberts is now not far short of Stephin Merritt proportions.
Somewhere on the web, possibly this page, I came across an alleged association between Alasdair and International Airport, and it sounded plausible because Airporter Tom Crossley has played regularly alongside Alasdair, both in Appendix Out and on the latter's solo recordings.
The sleeve of Reunion of Island Goose says the first track "incorporates portions of 'a sparrow lit upon a spray (tell the bees)' by Alasdair Roberts". When listening closely on headphones, I could just about make out a voice that sounded a bit like Alasdair's in the background of a couple of the verses. But, like a lot of the songs on this album, the production and overdubbing seem very cluttered.
