The first of three Rolling Stones albums I bought in 2002 (to be followed by The London Years, and Beggars Banquet).
Being unfamiliar with the detail of the Stones' work in the sixties, beyond the hits everyone knows, buying Aftermath was a bit of a stab in the dark. It may have been Lady Jane and Paint it Black that drew me in, but it was Under My Thumb that got me hooked. Especially the intro. I played that over and over again in 2002. And I've been playing it over and over again again in the last couple of days. That was what Brian Jones brought to the group, was it? Fantastic.
