I bought this CD in Fopp in 2002, as a convenient way of listening to my favourite Rush tracks without the fuss of digging out the records. A few years on, and it turns out to be much more convenient simply to dial up the album on We7 or Spotify than to reach up to the top shelf where the CD nestles alongside Yes, Genesis, Floyd, Zep, Purple and Crim.
I don't care what you say, I still like the opening of Xanadu. Though — and I must have listened to it a hundred times or more — I'd never noticed until this week how the guitar synth part near the start (around 1'20" in) steals a line from Abba's Fernando.
