In which, Nyman departs from his trademark driving dum-dum-dum-de-DUM-dum-dum compositions — almost as far as it could. Superficially it sounds more like the kind of thing John Tavener might do, as it's a choral piece, drawing on Armenian traditions. Rather beautiful, actually.
I spotted it in a Chichester record shop, I think, and bought it without knowing anything more about than what's on the outer cover.
