It ought to be the 7" singles that serve as receptacles for memories (see yesterday), but the truth is more than half the singles I own were bought 'after the fact' in the last ten years, not when I was teen going through my rites of passage.
This is a case in point, though I was already well into my thirties when it was released. After I became a Clientele collector — way, way too late when all the good stuff, like vinyl copies of Suburban Light, had become almost impossible to find — I came across this single on Amazon Marketplace. It's one of the singles that Suburban Light compiled, and it's on yellow vinyl, released by Spanish label Elefant. I got it for £2.57 (48% of which was shipping from the US).
