James: What For b/w James Who? A Talk With…

Bit of a non-event, this record. It's a promo from James' Sire years, aimed at the US market. I stumbled across it in a record shop in Sheffield in 1988 or '89 and bought it in case it turned out to be collectible.

It may or not be, but there's no substance to it. An 'interview' with the four members of the band, less than three minutes in total, transcribed in full here, says next to nothing. Then you get one song from the album.

I wonder how many American record stations played it.
