Charlie Parker: "Greatest Hits"

It's a little galling to work through Music Arcades and be reminded how many times I've been gulled by rip-off compilations like this. Back in the eighties when I got this, I maybe thought for a moment that all Charlie Parker recordings were this poor in quality. Happily it didn't put me off getting much better releases a few years later.

Nice guitar on Moose the Mooche, though. No idea who it is playing.

Now just look at the 71 Charlie Parker albums available for free listening on We7 and tell me the world isn't a better place than it was when I was duped a quarter of a century ago.

Meanwhile I can find no trace of this record on the web, and I am ashamed to be leaving one now.
