I was all ready to say simply 'ditto' for the other Psychic TV album on Music Arcades, which I think I bought the same day as this one (they must have been in the stock-clearance section).
But this one is a little different from what I remember of the Berlin Atonal album. It's very evidently music for contemporary dance, and, for me, it brings a specific eighties scene flooding back: that of people like DV8, Steve Martland, usually with Sarah Jane Morris on guest vocals, and back-projected Derek Jarman videos; the miners' strike re-cast as performance art. They were dancing in Doc Martens, metaphorically if not literally.
