I bought this the same day as Diamond Dogs and I feel pretty much the same about it. It's a bit better than DD, and I like the title track, but, given that the seventies were supposed to be Bowie's highpoint — I can't remember whether it was Sounds or the NME that nominated him as the most influential artist of the decade — I just assumed that all of these albums would be there or thereabouts. This is the third, along with Lodger, that barely rises above mediocre.
This is certainly not one of his best albums, but the title track and especially Time are some of this greatest songs!
