Track 3 of this "compact disc maxi-single", Brian Eno's cover of You Don't Miss Your Water is "from the Reprise album MARRIED TO THE MOB
" it says on the back of the CD. And that's true: it is on the soundtrack album. But, since I read that, I watched Married to the Mob — which, being a fan of Matthew Modine, early Jonathan Demme and Dean Stockwell, I enjoyed — with an ear out for that song. I had it on video, so I could replay any scenes where I caught a snatch of music in the background. And now I can tell you that, while the song may be on the soundtrack album, it is not on the soundtrack of the film. Another swizz. (It's also not very good.)
Track 5, Grandfather's House, is the other song I didn't already have on Wrong Way Up, and I thought it sounded like a solo Cale piece, but this lyric page suggests it's another one (like Cordoba) with words Eno took, cut-up style, from a Learn Spanish phrase book.
