As mentioned before I avoided this album at first because I was wary about how much it was being talked up in the press. Then I got Sun Comes Up, It's Tuesday Morning and I liked it so much I let my barriers down and bought The Trinity Session. I loved it more or less immediately, and still find much of it irresistible.
A couple of years ago the Cowboy Junkies did one of those Don't Look Back live shows at the Albert Hall (I think), where they played the whole of this album. I didn't go to that — instead we were fortunate to get tickets to see them around the same time in the very intimate (and now defunct) Spitz venue, and that was worth going to. Last year I gave Lucy the Trinity Revisited CD/DVD set. It's quite nice, but not as good as the original. Now there's a turn up for the books.
