David Byrne: The Knee Plays

Lucy's employer gets sent a large number of books (mostly) and CDs for review. They can't review everything they're sent, so what they 'pass on' gets left for staff to take their pick from (in the old Bloomsbury office, it was left in a fireplace — I don't know the location in the new office). So occasionally she came back from work with a present or two for me.

Or four, as happened earlier this year, when she brought me some Nonesuch CDs in these anonymous cardboard sleeves, marked "contains music for future release".

This is the CD of the re-issue of The Knee Plays (I didn't get the DVD part, which apparently includes a 'slide show'). It adds eight tracks to my original vinyl issue, but they are all instrumentals, and feel very much tacked on at the end.

Ah well, at least I have a means to rip digital copies of the tracks now, if I ever want to.
