I can't remember how I came to have this album. There are two possibilities. I may have 'acquired' it by default, in the same way I did with Dummy. Or, less likely, I was dipping my toes into '90s dance music culture.
I find it really difficult to listen to. I fell asleep trying to get through disc 2 this afternoon (admittedly I fall asleep a lot at the moment, whenever there isn't a crying baby near at hand). When I was awake it seemed, at best, banal, and, at worst, irritating.
As you can tell, and as with Britpop, I never really got on with '90s dance music. Remember Me by Blue Boy, I liked that. And my friend David Kay did me a mixtape including a track by Josh Wink (one of the remixers on Everything is Wrong) — Higher State of Consciousness — that I liked; but probably only because it reminded me of Tangerine Dream.
