Unlike the previous album by these guys, this one is a full-on three-way collaboration: "all titles composed & played by ENO MOEBIUS ROEDELIUS". Also unlike the other one, this doesn't quite hit the spot for me today.
It's… all right — more or less contemporary with Eno's work on Before and After Science and Fear of Music, and this time featuring a kind of faux-Schwitters/Hugo-Ball in the shape of Tzima N'arki — but somehow lesser than those other reference points.
A couple of months ago Guy and I went to see Moebius, Roedelius and Rother, known collectively as Harmonia and playing in the UK for the first time ever. Reviews were mixed, but again I sided with those who were a bit non-plussed.
