I was a member of the Sonic Arts Network for the best part of decade. I can't remember deciding to leave, but I notice the mailings stopped some time ago (I must check they're not still taking the direct debit).
Taking a wild guess, I'd say this CD came with their August 1999 mailing. As you can see, the cover isn't very informative (the back cover is identical). I've no idea where the original magazine might be, if I still have it. The only information is a tracklisting printed on the CD itself, but I can't find any record of it in MusicBrainz, Discogs or freeDB. For your information, then, there are six tracks running for a total of just over 18 minutes (links included where I could find them):
Tom Wallace | Zack's Sack (Zach's Sack) |
Jo Thomas | Wolfi |
Ned Bouhalassa | Impulse (Edit) |
Rose Dodd | Kinderspel (Edit) |
Philip Archer | Kung Fu |
Matthew Adkins | Liquid Neon |
Though I listened to this CD three times through today, none of the listenings were very close. The overall impression I formed was Drum'n'Bass meets Xenakis.
