This CD-ROM is the sibling of the frEQuency. I was in two minds about even trying this on my 4.5-year-old iMac. Three days ago Apple announced new iMacs, and I ought to get my hands on one of those asap, since this one is very evidently on its last legs.
However, while my current iMac seems unable to cope with the 2007 generation of basic applications like browser, email and word processor, it can tackle the 1997 generation of top-end multimedia applications without even a pause for breath. Just goes to show how bloated today's applications have become.
So Chillas fired up Mac OS9 and then gave me a series of VJ screens and beats that I could modify and remix by clicking different places on the screen. It would be quite fun and useful if my house was a club.
Some reviews and a link to buy this CD-ROM — Caveat emptor: I cannot vouch for whether this facility is current and still works.
