I was looking forward to this when it came up as I don't listen to Labradford very often. Once more it's self-effacing music that neither clamours for your attention or lodges itself in your memory. As the author of a book that probably shares these characteristics, I laud them.
Unfortunately I can tell it's one of those albums that probably sounds much better on a proper stereo than on my iMac, but I just haven't got time to spend quality time with it today, so iMac it is.
I can't remember how or where I came across Labradford. The record shows that they did a Peel session, but I don't remember hearing that. Perhaps it was on Mixing It.
Last.fm's profile of the band claims "It is hard to overstate the importance of Labradford". For me, as for many others, I suspect it's well nigh impossible.
