As with Organelles, I got this at the Modal conference in 2001, though I don't think I paid for it: it was one of the freebies in the goody bag you get at these events. (Hell, Pete Holden was much too generous: I did next to nothing to help with the conference — I made an offer that Pete didn't really take up — but he gave me a free pass including the goody bag. Thanks, Pete.)
It's that brand of raucous celtic-influenced guitars-and-fiddles 'festival folk' that I bracket in with Goats Don't Shave and The Levellers. Great for a jig and a singalong in a field. And it's a live album, which all albums of this kind should be, because it's the atmosphere that they're about.
It's just that I don't often break out the cider and try and recreate a summer ceilidh in my living room.
