Ah, well, what a shame. I tried to play this tape on each side: in both cases it started well for the first 10 or 15 seconds, but then started to wow, and quickly the vocals went further and further underwater before, on Side 1, it stopped completely. Rather than get perishing plastic all over the inside of my cassette deck, I decided to leave it at that.
The cover of this cassette was once a rich (and frankly unpleasant) pinky brown colour — the inside still is. I guess it was left too long in direct sunlight, which probably did for the cassette inside as well.
Roy Carr's tally of mentions goes up once more, since he was one of the compilers of the cassette. Mind you, he's got a way to go to catch up with Neil Young.
