…which I bought five days before Christmas in 2000, and then I took it to Norfolk when I went with D and the boys, Cathy, Mike and Ruth for a New Year break. When I listen to it, I'm back in that converted barn.
I love the way the first three tracks build, culminating in a spectacularly atmospheric version of Little Drummer Boy. I found that so good that I kind of lost interest after that, and the rest of the album sounded like an anti-climax.
Inside the cover there's a message from the band that reads, "Despite the commerce involved, we hope you will consider this our gift to you", and I believe this is sincere.
