I don't know if I'm just not looking in the right places, but the Ciccone Youth 'project' seems to get ignored in accounts of the late '80s. The Ciccone Youth Peel Session is now credited to Sonic Youth. Perhaps the alternative name 'diluted their brand' or something? When they did another experimental side project a decade later with Goodbye 20th Century they kept the Sonic Youth name.
I like most of the instrumental tracks on this: stuff like Macbeth, Children of Satan/Third Fig, and Moby Dik. They don't go anywhere much, but I just enjoy the textures of the sounds; they're gritty. I like Tuff Titty Rap, too, despite, or because of, its dumbness.
The video for Addicted to Love got played a few times on TV programmes like Rapido! or Snub TV. It had Kim Gordon miming in front of a bluescreen projection of US soldiers in (I think; it's a long time ago now) the jungle.
