And it's Round Three of Tim Buckley in the last ten days (Round One, Two). All selected at random, I promise. This is the final one in my TB collection; though, of course, I could buy more at some point.
His voice sounds particularly astonishing and unique on this album. It was released in 1967, and bears all the marks of that year. I don't mind the psychedelic effects and arrangements, but some of the hippy-drippy lyrics about knights and ladies are a bit hard to stomach. I used to think the title track was OK, but now its stop-start cycle just gets wearing.
Notwithstanding these reservations, there are some quite wonderful songs here.
