Charley Patton: Hang it on the Wall

After mentioning a song dedicated to Charley Patton twice in the last ten days (1, 2), here is Charley himself.

In truth, I might not have bought this album, but for that song. Everything that I said about the difficulty of enjoying Robert Johnson applies twice over to the six Charley Patton sessions collected on this album. The recording quality is so poor that you really have to work to keep paying attention.

I really tried with High Water Everywhere (Parts 1 & 2), but, no, I'm just not feeling it.
