The Flaming Lips: Clouds Taste Metallic

Having fallen in love with The Flaming Lips on CD in 1992, and then been put off by seeing them perform, they dropped off my radar for a few years. I saw this in a CD shop in Nottingham three years later. M, Chris, Chris and I were there to see Keith Tippett play in the evening, and to do some shopping, mainly for clothes. It was that day that I bought the suit that Douglas Coupland was to compliment me on a month later.

Where was I? This music has many of the same elements that I loved on Hit to Death in the Future Head, but they don't cohere so well here. After this, I tuned out again for several more years.
