Mogwai: Kicking a Dead Pig - Mogwai Songs Remixed

I heard Mogwai on the John Peel show, particularly the 2001 Festive 50, which I recorded large chunks of. I half-liked them. But in 2001/2 I was buying lots of music by people that I half liked, and what tipped me into buying this album was that it was two CDs for £7, which looked like a bargain.

The trouble with albums you half like is that they don't compare well with albums you really like. If you just have a few, then you may still play the ones you half like and come to like them more. But if you have hundreds, the chances of that happening are slim.

Hence when I played this just now, probably for the first time in four years, I still just half liked it.
