Woody Guthrie albums were hard to find in the mid-1980s. Frequently talked about, but rarely seen or heard, so I had to search all the specialist shops and those with the widest stock to snap up whatever looked half interesting.
This LP appears to be a 1975 Italian issue of a 1956 Folkways recording. Between the songs, Will Geer narrates excerpts from Woody's fluent and witty autobiography, Bound for Glory.
There's a booklet, with stitched binding, featuring Woody's lyrics, the excerpts from the book, and his drawings, in both English and Italian.
